We had the pleasure to chat with veteran DJ and producer Josh Wink about his involvement in rave movement since the early 90s, his thoughts on music technology, his breakthrough moments, life philosophy and more.

Josh Wink was born and raised in Philadelphia. He’s one of the pioneers of American rave music. He released his first EP Tribal Confusion in 1990 as E-Culture on the legendary Strictly Rhythm label. Four years later, he started his own influential imprint Ovum Recordings, housing most of his extensive production output.

His tracks also appear on imprints such as R&S, XL Recordings, Boysnoize Records and more. The many iconic dance tracks he released include: ‘Don’t Laugh,’ ‘I’m Ready’ and ‘Higher State of Consciousness.’ His 2017 EP Resist is a testament to the longevity and continued relevance of both his career and creative legacy.

This fourth edition of Talk:Music was a collaboration with Piknic Électronik.
